Flowers of the Revolution is a six part documentary series which explores the lives and experiences of women who exchanged the comforts of an ordinary life for the difficulties of waging the struggle against apartheid.

The six women showcased in the series are drawn from a cross section of ethnic, religious and social backgrounds, but all share a passion for freedom, justice and equality for their people. All six films in the series were written, directed, photographed and edited by graduates of NEMISA under the supervision of Xoliswa Sithole of Ayate Films, and Clarence Hamilton of Back To The Wall Film Productions.
